Did a five kilometre sponsored run in Battersea Park to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. This photo was taken about ten minutes after I crossed the finish line. In a fool’s paradise, I was feeling briefly as though I’d got away unscathed, in spite of having done no sports or fitness training whatsoever for years. And all remained fine until I started walking back through the park to the station, and a sharp pain started spreading through both legs. Don’t really know how I made it home. Now I can hardly walk. That’ll teach me.
